Dr. Elliott Ber
Dear Patients and Friends,
After 37 years of a rewarding career in dentistry serving the community of Oakville, I am writing you to announce my retirement. The time has finally come!
I remember when I was a new grad fresh out of the University of Toronto Dental School. I was talking to an established dentist and I asked him how long he had been practicing dentistry. He said 12 years and I thought to myself “How could anyone do the same thing for that long?!” Well, that conversation feels like yesterday and through all the years I’ve never stopped loving what I do.
Emma and Olivia, who most of you have heard me brag about, are now 26 and 30 years old and absolutely beautiful inside and out! My wife Julie and I have shared a wonderful 19 years together, and are excited to spend more time traveling in the near future. I have also been blessed with a second “Family” at the office. I have been so fortunate to share my career with the most dedicated and caring staff who, without question, are responsible for my success and that of the practice.
Dr. Teresa Caplice who joined the practice 23 years ago became my partner in 2009. Together we have shared the same vision for the practice, the same philosophies with regards to treatment, and have shared a lot of laughs along the way. Dr. Caplice took over the reins from me over a year ago allowing me to ease into my retirement. She continues to ensure the same quality of care we have provided since Maple Grove Dental was opened 35 years ago.
To all of my amazing patients, who feel like friends and family, I thank you for putting your trust in me and allowing me to retire with a sense of accomplishment and pride. I could not have done it without you!
I look forward to bumping into you around town and catching up with you like we have at the office… but please don’t pull your cheek to one side and ask me what I think… call the office!
